Fadia Abboud



Fadia’s previous films include I Remember 1948, In the Ladies Lounge, and Big Trouble, Little Fish. She is Co-Director of the Arab Film Festival Australia and has worked as a facilitator on a range of community based initiatives across Western Sydney. Fadia wrote and directed the first series of I Luv U But.

Megan McMurchy



Megan has produced award-winning short dramas, documentaries, television series and several feature films over many years – including documentaries Sadness and Mr Patterns, factual series Hybrid Life and Fine Line, and the feature films Talk and Footy Legends. I Luv U But is her first web series.

Peter Polites



Peter edited Ornaments from Two Countries - an LGBTIQ Western Sydney and regional NSW publication. His writing has appeared in The Lifted Brow, Overland, Westside and the Penguin Plays Rough anthology. He is a member of Sweatshop, a critical literacy movement located in Western Sydney.

Carolyn Constantine


Director of Photography

Carolyn has worked as a Director of Photography in Australia and the US, shooting documentaries, short films and features. She has numerous operating and DOP credits for television series drama including Wildside, All Saints, Rake, Crownies and Headland, and has shot many commercials for major brands.

Amin Palangi



Amin is a director, editor and producer whose credits include award-winning documentaries and fictional films set in Australia, Afghanistan and Iran. Amin spends his days dramatizing the human experience, teaching at number of film schools and running the Persian International Film Festival in Australia.

Katrina Barker



A graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School, Katrina’s editing credits include, A Natural Talent, Penelope K, by the way, All Saints, Dance Academy, My Great Big Adventure and Devil’s Dust, for which she won the 2013 Australian Screen Editors Guild award for best editing in a television drama.

Eve Waugh


Production Designer

Eve graduated from AFTRS in 2013 and has since worked in the art department for Mad Max: Fury Road and has been the Production Designer on numerous short films. She has a passion for visual storytelling with a background in animation, textile design and illustration.

Composer and Sound Designer

Matt is an accomplished composer, musician and sound designer in a wide variety of styles. He works flexibly and delivers great results on time and on budget. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Screen Music. His specialty includes music composition, sound design and audio post-production.

Christina Radburn


First Assistant Director

Christina is an award-winning independent film producer. Her short films have screened in competition at local and international film festivals around the world. Her short film Gorilla won the prestigious 2013 Iris Prize. She is completing her Master of Producing at Victorian College of the Arts.

Evan is a film and tv nerd who has spent the last two years working in "reality" TV. The chance of working on a drama with such amazing cultural and community storylines was something he jumped at it. Since wrap he has been pondering "is my butt cute enough to make final cut?"

Gillian Stein has worked for over two decades in the global film and television industry as a Script Supervisor on projects including The Matrix I, Mask, Wolf Creek, and more recently Puberty Blues and Rake among many drama and comedy television series.

Production Coordinator

Britt is a production coordinator for film and television. Her Australian work includes the film Dead Europe and the TV series Rake. She is also the winner of the BAFTA New Talent Award in producing and the producer of several award winning UK short films.

Assistant Accountant

Jessica has been in the film industry for just under two years but has managed to squeeze in quite a few productions including Seasons 2 and 3 of Rake, Janet King and The Code, as well as feature films Felony and Unbroken.

Saskia is of Jamaican/Spanish heritage. She came to I Luv U But for Year 10 work experience in film and photography and is looking forward to a career in the filmic arts.

Manel is a qualified makeup artist. She studied Makeup for Film and Theatre at ACMUSE – Australian College of Makeup. Her passion is special effects makeup. She enjoyed applying her skills on set and working with the I Luv U But cast and crew.

Joyce took on a one-off role as a runner and PA to Abbey Aziz on the I luv U But series. She has many skills under her belt from event management to personal training. She enjoyed her variety of tasks on set and working with the cast and crew.

Since studying special effects props-making at University of the Arts London, Ciara has been working in the art department on various short films assisting with set dressing, sourcing and standby props. Ciara recently worked on her first feature film, Mad Max: Fury Road, as standby props.
